Éléments naturels et espaces immersifs dans les œuvres de Doug Aitken à l’ère de l’Anthropocène

Beyond a new geological era, the Anthropocene is also an experience and an imaginary world twisted by visual and plastic contemporary artists. Since the end of the XXth century, artists like Doug Aitken examine the relation of the museum visitor to artistic work and its environment. They create audiovisual media as well as installation art from natural elements, fauna and flora, in order to place the visitor in a visual, physical and mental immersive situation, so that he/she can become aware of phenomenons such as time passing and perception boundaries.
